Historic Structure Reports (HSRs) are important comprehensive documents for individual or collections of buildings and/or structures. HSRs provide key information related to short and long term treatment and use options. HSRs also include in depth studies of associated histories and intensive chronologies. Verity possesses the skillset to produce HSR documents to National Park Service standards.

Verity’s HSR process begins with site visits and thorough documentation of the subject building(s). Physical documentation extends to measuring the building and recording specific features. The documentation process works in tandem with historic research to build out an accurate timeline of history and any changes over time. Verity’s research process is predicated on utilizing historic information to guide treatment and use recommendations. Both components of our process led to recommendations for safeguarding the physical structure and intangible history of a given building.

A robust document is the result of the Verity process. This deliverable includes all the information gathered throughout the process, formatted into a digestible document that is accessible and easy to apply to the building(s).
