Chris Jackson
With over a decade of independent and team leadership experience, Chris’ passion for preservation is foundationally supported by his early training and experience as a carpenter and rehabilitation project manager. After earning a Master of Arts Degree in Historic Preservation, Chris entered into the private sector. His early professional experience focused on documentation, evaluation and analysis, and treatment recommendations for a diverse range of projects, including nationally recognized historic sites, large mixed-use developments, municipalities, and even single-family homes. As Director of Adaptive Reuse at a private development and construction firm, Chris was able to hone his project and team management skills, as demonstrated by the successful rehabilitation of more than 2,000,000 square feet of historic buildings while with the company. This recent experience has reinforced Chris’ ability to break down the intricacies of preservation to guide clients through stewardship and conservation efforts.
Upon the founding of Verity Works in 2024, Chris remains dedicated to promoting preservation through project consultation, teaching, and advocacy. His exceptional leadership skills have led to the successful rehabilitation of over $100 million worth of real estate and the preservation of numerous buildings and landscapes through his consulting work.
